Details: Ho`omaka Hou is a program offered by Maui Youth & Family Services to provide Hawaii with an adolescent residential substance abuse treatment center in Maui County. MYFS has expanded its residential services to include emergency youth shelters, group homes, independent living and community based residential programs . Ho`omaka Hou provides an alternative to adolescent residential substance abuse treatment off island. HO`OMAKA HOU is a residential substance abuse treatment program for youth whose problems with alcohol, other drugs, or issues related to substance abuse, warrant an intensive, structured therapeutic program, combined with a safe, controlled environment. It is designed to foster chemical independence for youth ages 12-17 by means of a comprehensive treatment program. A professional and paraprofessional staff is trained in substance abuse and adolescent care, and provides youth with 24 hour supervision.
